Trisha Rhodes, Ph.D, assistant professor of Criminal Justice, gave a presentation about "Policing in Schools: Culture at a Crossroads" at the Inaugural Education Law and Policy Symposium on May 17, which was cosponsored by the Virginia Department of Education and the VCU School of Education. She discussed research on how police officers transition into school settings, and how findings from this work show promise for the success of SRO programs.
