BIOGRAPHY

Originally from Venezuela, Sofia brings a deep commitment to public service and advancing equitable systems. She holds both a Master of Public Administration (MPA) and a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Virginia Commonwealth University. Sofia began her journey at VCU as a Wilder Fellow with the Center for Public Policy, where she supported applied research to inform real-world decision-making. After completing the fellowship, she transitioned into a full-time role as a consultant and facilitator. Her professional interests lie at the intersection of social, health, and criminal justice policy. 

Outside of work, Sofia enjoys traveling, reading, trying new recipes, and spending time with her cat, Luna.
