JoNathan Collins

Doctoral Student

JoNathan Collins is a Ph.D. student at the L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs at Virginia Commonwealth University. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a master’s in Communication Studies from Alabama A&M University. JoNathan currently serves as the Legislative and Member Services Director for the Virginia Senate Democratic Caucus, where he helps shape and drive the caucus’s legislative agenda. His commitment to service, policy, and advocacy led him to Virginia politics, where he works each day to improve government systems and expand access for communities that have historically been overlooked and underserved.
