BIOGRAPHY
Aytisia Hairston is a higher education professional with experience in student success,
academic advising, leadership development, and program coordination. Throughout her career,
she has worked across multiple institutions supporting students through academic coaching,
campus engagement initiatives, career readiness programming, and holistic student
development. She is passionate about creating meaningful experiences that empower students
to reach their academic, personal, and professional goals.

Originally from Chester, Virginia, Aytisia is excited to serve students at Virginia Commonwealth
University and contribute to initiatives that foster belonging, persistence, and success. Outside
of work, she enjoys staying active in the gym, attending sporting events, traveling, exploring
new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends. Her faith and commitment to
lifelong learning continue to shape both her personal and professional journey.
