Aly Carroll

Doctoral Student

Aly Carroll currently serves as a graduate teaching assistant in the L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs. She earned her bachelor’s degree in political science with minors in sociology and international studies from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) in 2024. Shortly after, she received her MPA from UAB. Before coming to VCU, Aly worked as a researcher for UAB’s Alabama Public Service Training Initiative. Her research interests revolve around education, specifically school safety policies, juvenile justice within schools, and building stakeholder trust in public education institutions.
