Heather Millar

Heather E. Millar, MBA, has over 20 years of experience in higher education and workforce development with extensive knowledge of post-secondary education, career readiness programs, working with various types of boards and advisory councils, and working on federal and state funded grants. This included working with transitional programs for underserved populations, and adult education. Heather served as a steering committee member for the Virginia Wizard, a federally funded online portal for those seeking to establish a career path connecting educational resources to specific occupations.  She also has extensive experience managing communications in higher education and statewide programs, as well as development (fundraising) for higher education and nonprofits. She has served as a consultant for higher education institutions, and has been involved with several strategic planning efforts at the state level and VCU unit level.

Heather has been the Director of Marketing, Communications and Development in the Department of Nurse Anesthesia, the number one ranked program in the country, since 2013. 

She is an undergraduate from Randolph-Macon College and holds an MBA degree from Virginia Commonwealth University.
