Looking for a leading-edge career in public service? The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of International Information Programs(IIP) will host a virtual information session on Thursday, April 21. The bureau, which supports platforms for conversations with foreign publics on U.S. policy priorities, will be looking to connect with students for career and internship opportunities from 2-3 p.m. in Scherer Hall, Room 401.

The event is part of a special “Employer Showcase” series sponsored by the Wilder School’s Office of Student Success (OSS) and VCU Career Services. Held multiple times each semester, the showcase engages Wilder School students with prospective public interest employers.

Representatives from the IIP will be available to discuss the types of skills they seek from government interest to design and technology skills. VCU students from a range of academic programs—from computer science to graphic design, web development and many other fields—are encouraged to attend. Advance registration is encouraged
