Alumnus to Assume New Administrative Post in Henrico

‌Anthony Romanello (M.P.A.’93) has been appointed deputy county manager for administration for Henrico County.

Romanello, who currently serves as county administrator of Stafford County, will begin his work in Henrico in mid-September.

Romanello has served as county administrator of Stafford since 2008. He previously served as a deputy county administrator of Stafford, town manager of West Point and held several positions with the city of Richmond, including deputy director of human services administration, deputy director of administration of public health and assistant to the city manager.

As deputy county manager for administration, Romanello will oversee the departments of Finance, General Services and Information Technology, as well as the Public Library and legislative liaison.

Romanello will replace fellow alumnus, Joe Casey (M.P.A.’95, Ph.D.’13). In May, Casey, was tapped to serve as the new county administrator of Chesterfield County.
